Believe it or not, this is me 100% sober π€π€ͺ I’m not sure if I was just in a very celebratory mood or just doing a Hellboy impression, but either way, Merry New Year!

There’s a lot of SoCal music history in the tape storage room at For The Record studios.
There’s a lot of SoCal music history in the tape storage room at For The Record studios. I’ve recorded with several projects here, but during the last @werenogentlemen recording sessions, I took a little time to browse in awe at all the amazing artists that rocked these halls, including:
Vandals, Death By Stereo, Thrice, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Kottonmouth Kings, Cadillac Tramps, Atreyu, Jimmy Eat World, Earl Thomas, Bad Brains, Meat Puppets, No Doubt, Save Ferris, and many, many more. It was humbling yet inspiring to be in such good company. π€π
Sunday Funday!

Since Monday was International Rush Day (21/12), for waybackwednesday, here is the full-length version of the bass cover I did for “Fly By Night” to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the release of Rush’s second album and tour of the same name. To make things a little more challenging, I did this version on my fretless 5-string bass.
