It was great to spend some quiet time over the holiday unwinding. Now I’m getting tuned up and ready for several upcoming recording sessions and even a few live outdoor shows in the coming weeks.

I got the opportunity to provide the bass line for “Thanks for the Memories”, the debut song from the new pop duo @taystimusic. I am really proud to be a part of this project, having a blast in the studio and getting to working with so many talented people. Make sure to take a listen on @spotify, @applemusic, @amazonmusic, and pretty much any other major music platform.
Just spent some time at one of my favorite recording studios in the OC last night getting ready to record a new cover song with my @werenogentlemen band-fam π€π
I’m so happy with my current bass rig. For the past four years or so, using @kemperamps_official has been a game-changer for me, both for my original projects as well as my session work and the cover bands I play in. Having the capability to switch my amp tone at will is like getting to carry all my favorite amps around with me at without breaking my back (or my bank account).
For a few of my projects, I’m now exploring automation for my program/effect changes with @ableton software. Once I get this done, it will free me up during live performances so that I don’t have to mash foot controller buttons and I just can concentrate on playing, singing, and putting on a good show.
I’m putting together a video series for a rundown on my rig, using a Kemper as a bassist, and how to integrate a Kemper with midi effect pedals, Ableton Live, and all kinds of fun stuff. Details coming soon!

Working on pre-production for a vicious (hint) new @werenogentlemen cover tune coming soon!
Close-up of the neck of my bass named “Sakura”. It’s a 2008(ish) Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 5 HH that I’ve customized quite a bit. I had it Plek’d & set up by @13thStreetGuitars, and now the action and feel on this bass is absolutely perfect for me.
How do you know if a zombie REALLY likes somebody?
It asks for another piece π€π
throwbackthursday – 2018, shakin’ my bon-bon with La Vida Loca, the L.A.-based Ricky Martin tribute. I have so much fun playing this music with these talented people!
I just got to listen to the finished track I played on at a recent recording studio session. The song came out great, and I can’t wait to share it with y’all once the artist announces the release. I’m so grateful to have these opportunities and experiences: recording in fantastic studios, and contributing & collaborating with such talented artists, musicians, producers and engineers. I’m stoked that I have more recording sessions coming up very soon with my various bands and projects.
Maybe I’m smiling because I just checked my calendar and realized it’s Halloween Week! π€π
