Probably not a good idea to just leave this photo here and let your imagination run with it.

This is a bts photo from the latest @werenogentlemen music video shoot. I had an absolute blast playing this character and we can’t wait to release this video for our version of “Viscious Love” coming out next month from Pacific Ridge records.
This photo got me thinking about CDs and physical media in general.
This photo got me thinking about CDs and physical media in general.
– I have some rare(ish) CDs that you just can’t find online. For example, :[dos]:, the album by Altered State, an amazing band from right here in Huntington Beach.
– Vinyl is making a serious comeback, not just for nostalgia or the audio characteristics, but as a tangible memento that acknowledges the artist’s achievement — the artwork, the liner notes, and all that cool stuff.
Anyone else have any interesting physical media laying around that you’ve kept around because they are rare or the artist’s catalog isn’t available for streaming?
Anyone getting back into vinyl, especially for new releases?

I find it difficult to find live photos where I’m not making a ridiculous face, so it might be time to surrender and re-institute BassFace Fridays.

ThrowbackThursday BTS – Soundcheck at the Troub with Katie Garfield five years back (the place looks a little different when the lights are on during the daytime).
ThrowbackThursday BTS – Soundcheck at the Troub with Katie Garfield five years back (the place looks a little different when the lights are on during the daytime). As it turned out, this ended up being our last gig together, but we had some great experiences as a band-fam. We all still keep in touch from time to time via social media. Everyone is still active in the music industry and doing some really cool stuff. Check ’em out.
Make sure to subscribe to the @werenogentlemen Youtube Channel as we will be releasing “The Making Of Vicious Love” THIS Thursday 2/18 at noon!

In this video, I am using an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 5 HH bass with an custom Alperious pickguard, Kemper Profiler amp, Source Audio pedals, and Ernie Ball strings.
Here’s a quick BTS of @danshchizmusic and I using a highly scientific method in order to determine important logistics for the last @werenogentlemen video shoot.

Here’s a closeup of some of the custom work on my “Sakura” bass.
Here’s a closeup of some of the custom work on my “Sakura” bass. I originally picked up this bass as a backup, but it’s become my main bass for most gigs and recordings. It’s an 2008-2010 @ernieballmusicman Stingray 5 HH with an @alperiouspickguard. I keep this one strung with @ernieball roundwounds and the tone is just fantastic.
