ThrowbackThursday BTS – Soundcheck at the Troub with Katie Garfield five years back (the place looks a little different when the lights are on during the daytime). As it turned out, this ended up being our last gig together, but we had some great experiences as a band-fam. We all still keep in touch from time to time via social media. Here’s a closeup of some of the custom work on my “Sakura” bass. I originally picked up this bass as a backup, but it’s become my main bass for most gigs and recordings. It’s an 2008-2010 @ernieballmusicman Stingray 5 HH with an @alperiouspickguard. I keep this one strung with @ernieball roundwounds and the tone is just fantastic.
